Those of you who know me well, know that “Steel Magnolias” is one of my ALL time favorites. How many times have I watched it…too many times to count on all of my phalanges.
What is a M’Lynne moment, you ask…well, the moment in the movie, at the cemetery, when M’Lynne lost her cool after her daughter Shelby died. And literally went cray, cray for a few.
I have had those M’Lynne moments. Still do, every now and then.
It is when we women have kept too much inside…handling our family, our husband’s family, our chilren, work, housework, carpool, PTA, our 4 legged precious angels OR our favorite underwear’s elastic gave up the ghost (that is serious stuff)…the spaghetti stream in our minds goes on and on.
We try to convince ourselves that we can handle it. We can run that mile or ten that Shelby couldn’t. And then we realize, that sometimes, we need to have a crying, screaming, fit pitching breakdown that clears our heads.
PLUS, it doesn’t hurt to have your besties beside you, cheering you on and reminding you that they love you more than their luggage. And making you laugh until you cry and the stress, and clouds, with a LOT of help from God, clear the way to blue skies and beautiful days.
I thank God for the many amazing people in my life! I thank God for the amazing friends, family and so many amazing people that pray for me when I ask, but also when I don’t. I feel it, and it matters!
We all have those M’Lynne moments, we definitely need to let the Truvys, Ousiers, Clairees & Annelles in our lives get us through those moments. For they are only moments.
Our life is like a book, there are many chapters, if we are lucky. Make the most of them! The Ending is up to us and God, after all.
Prayers, happy vibes, hugs and so much more! Especially peace and happiness.
