So let’s put this into context. YES, in the South we do LOVE our sweet tea.
However, WE are picky!
There are many variations:
Granny A: Teeth Aching Sweet… (Lots of water needed to be added) Didn’t love her any less, just didn’t appreciate the tea…
Granny B: doesn’t make tea, she is too busy with so many other things. Family provides, because we can.
Mom’s: Slightly sweet and JUST RIGHT!
This story sounds a lot like the 3 bears… But with a forth bear involved for those lazy peeps.
We call it the “Lazy Man’s” tea…aka. store-bought! I have tried some, and yes, you read that right.
Milo’s sweet tea is great, it is a family-owned business, Certified Women Owned business and a Platinum Certified Zero Waste Manufacturer! So if you don’t OR can’t make good homemade tea, try Milo’s. #milostea
Another good option is Gold Peak Slightly Sweet tea….this is part of the Coca-Cola family, but nonetheless is good.
So, to sum it up…if you can get homemade, I highly recommend it! Ice cold and ready for the volcanic months coming upon us called Summer in the South.
If, however, you are one of the unfortunate folks, try one of the two that I have recommended above. They are a good substitute.
Have a great day! And bring on the heat!
